After the successful launch in March of the Conversation24 omnichannel commerce platform, which makes it possible to make automated payments via conversation channels such as WhatsApp, there was a great demand in the Netherlands from (potential) customers for more payment methods to go cross-border.
Cross-border
To meet this demand, Conversation24 is proud to announce that Adyen (reported by Forrester research as a leader among global merchant payment providers) is the first integrated global cross-border payment provider on the platform.
Future Opportunities
Conversation24 CEO Nick Blom: ‘We are very proud that Adyen believes in our story and the possibilities that the conversational commerce market will have in the near future. By adding Adyen to our platform, we make it possible to make all payment methods available worldwide. That gives our current and future customers enormous opportunities to enter the conversational market’.
Adyen CCO Roelant Prins: ‘The last couple years we have seen an incremental demand from our merchants to offer flexible customer journeys. Adding conversational commerce to the channel mix is a truly valuable addition. We are very proud to partner up with Conversation24 and are very happy to be able to offer Adyen’s full suite of payment options to all of their great customers’.
Growth
The conversational commerce market is growing rapidly (Juniper Research estimates it will grow sevenfold to 290 billion over the next four years) as providers continue to add more features to their communication channels. For example, WhatsApp Business recently made it possible for retailers to display their product catalog. The Conversation24 platform acts as a power grind between conversation channels and payment methods to enable transactions.
